About the Editor

I am a born-and-raised Kansan. I have a BS in chemical engineering and an MS in curriculum and instruction from the University of Kansas. Reading has long been one of my passions. My TBR list is a mile long. I enjoy reading many varied genres and styles of books.

I have three absolutely delightful and strong-willed daughters. One of my primary goals in raising them has been to instill in them the same love of books that I have. It's still a work in progress, but we're getting there!

I am a member of ACES (the society for editing) and the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA). I have taken courses through the EFA to sharpen my editing skills. I am well acquainted with The Chicago Manual of Style.

• If it is a manuscript you need edited, I am the right person for the job. I read constantly. And my multifarious interests in book genres means I have ample experience digesting books from historical fiction to mysteries, to juvenile fiction, to sci-fi, to—the currently very popular—romantasy. I will read (and probably love) your book. Then I will read it again and again to polish it up. I will never try to impose a particular style on your words—I will treasure your book for what it is.

• If it is something more technical that you need edited, I am still the right person for the job! My diverse professional background gives me an edge when it comes to technical writing. My experience as a chemical engineer means I am adept at working with reports, applications, proposals, and more.
